Rebuild or Replace?

Greetings everyone,

I got a major problem here. the exhaust in my 94 325 convertible got clogged up when I was out of the country and my genius sister drove it like that and blew the valves and in turn, the engine.

My mechanic says it could be rebuilt but advised me to just replace it.

Amazingly enough I can start it but it wont rev when I tell it to and the sound of the valves not working is clear through the exhaust.

What should I do? Rebuild or Replace?

And any idea what it would cost me?

I would start with a look for a rebuilt head.

probably replace. Im pretty sure you can find parts for pretty cheap somewhere. Save alot of time and money.
