Rear Window Problems

I have a 92' 325i. The rear left window will lower, but will not raise. All other windows operate OK. Is there a fuse for this operation. I cannot find a fuse for the windows in the fuse box on the driver side under the hood. Help!!

check the switch, motor, and regulator. If all are ok then its most likely a broken control arm.

I am guessing the window motor for the window, which has brushes on it, to make contact so the motors shaft can turn, have worn away from the contact area and make enough of a connection to lower the window, but not raise it....... Had this problem with the Vr4 because it was a shitty ass recall.. I had to get new brushes put on, then come to find out the dealer changed me out a new one anyway.... But My window would sometimes do that, at the hospital, it got stuck completely down and it wouldn't go up for squat...

cmoore The window motors have a power window relay that supply the power to the window switches to operate the power windows.I don't think its your motor because the motor is a d/c motor.So the motor switches direction by switching polarity at the brushes to the motor comuntator.So if it was your motor it wouldn't move either way. What I believe it is the window switch may have a bad contact point.The window switches basically switches the direction of the polarity going to the window motors. What you can do is remove the switch and pop it open ( becareful there maybe a spring in side) and clean the contact point with a small piece of sandpaper. Look for the contact point that has a dark spot or pitting on contact point. Snap together and your on your way. But this is only a temporary repair you should replace the switch.
