They all share the same RSMs (e46 and e36)

You're not talking about a tire spinning and the wheel hopping are you? That sounds like more of what you've described.

Does the noise occur constantly over bumps? or only when you're really accelerating?

hmm.. it could be your diff. If you diff mount is broken or cracked it will create a fairly loud noise when you accelerate hard. Is it one "bumpi" noise or several in a row under constant hard acceleration?

when I really get on it in second gear and I'm going over bumps, I get the same thing. Kind of a bumping, like the tires are jumping up and down really fast. I'm hoping this will go away when I have my new shocks and springs installed. You think it could be something more?

Check your rear subframe. Is there a thump as you shift gears hard?

yeah it just like you said. but listen i put the new control arm in there but this noise wasnt there after and before that/ it was working fine. it started coming slowly now its kindda hard. but only when i accelrate in lower gear. otherr then that its fine even im going high speed its fine. if i put my car on the lift and then run it in lower gear what you think it will still make that nois if its diffr
thnx
