Rear shock question/help

I just ordered new bilstien HD rear shocks for my 98 323is. I had the dealer put them in last week. The car rode great until yesterday when my wife said it was making strange noises from the rear. I didn't notice anything until I took it for a ride. Then I found this....



The rear shock is hitting the rear speaker! Am I missing something? How the heck does this happen?

The dealer has the car now and they are going to look at it tomorrow. Along with replacing the front struts.....

After talking with a rep from Bavarian Auto, it appears that the dealer did not install the entire install kit. They assure me that it is now correct. I'll see when I go pick up the car.

FYI, the Bilstien shocks are NOT installed that same as regular OEM shocks.
