Rear differential help

TurboB3 n00b Join Date: Jan 2006 Car: Posts: 42 Photos:	Rear differential help I have a 1993 318is with a 5sp tranny. Every time i shift there is a loud bang the comes from the back at the differential unless I let the clutch out really slow. I have a feeling the differential is bad because the loud noise when pressure is put on it. It only happens at the shift and rides fine after that. Either its possible to fix or I need a new one. While looking for a new one, what should the gear ratio be, and would it be possible for a differential from say a 325 or 328 fit my car?
