my rear deck is really creaking and makign shaking noises and bugging the hell out of me. when i want to turn down the music and sit back and listen to the pur of the engine i have to put up with the rear deck's bullshit. any advice would be great, i think there was a previous thread on this but i couldnt find it. thanks.
Most of the creaks come from chassis flex. A strut brace would stiffen up that area, but you would lose trunk space. Short of that, try stuffing the area below it with towels.
There are struts (shocks) that hold your rear deck lid open when you open the trunk. Check to see if those are worn out. Also, the plastic housing of the rear tail lights are flimsy, so check those to see if the little knob holding them in aren't loose. Good luck
after the towells were in there, i went on to remove the deck. There was a plastic piece that wasnt where it was supposed to be, and i moved it back. It doesnt rattle anymroe, and now i am happy
