Rear Courtesy Lights On?

Hi All

Just got my first BMW 96 coupe, is it possible to turn the two rear courtest lights on manually somehow. They come on when I open the doors or switch of the ignition but dont know if they can be turned on when driving etc for rear passengers?

Thanks
