Hi, I had a beautiful 92 until someone sideswiped me.
Anyway, I just bought a 95 and only drove it around the parking lot (stupid) before paying and signing the title.

I get it on the highway... slow. Really slow. Thing can barely get out of its own way.

It has a cold air intake, but stock exhaust (possible problem)

Feels like something is clogged, it won't open up and when you floor it doing over 30 the mpg meter never really goes below 10.

Clogged cat? Injectors?

Please help, I just dropped 3400 dollars on it.

it could be the flux capacitor

Is the original air-filter box totally removed? If YES, has its sensor just been left hanging?

The exhaust is not your issue at this time...

the box is gone, i do not see any hanging sensors.. could a sensor cause the car to lose all torque like that but still sound/start/idle fine? with no indicator lights on?

Its possible, the airbox should have a "Cold-Air" sensor which works with the MAF to fuel the car correctly... Some people insert a diode in the connector to keep the MAF "Happy" !!
But TBH... You have a cleaning job to do !... Remove the throttle body and clean that shit out, maybe locate the cam sensor and clean that too!
What motor is it?

its a 2.5 I6. Here's the other thing: The guy I bought it from said the guy before him told him he put a m3 cam and chip in it?

He must have sold it because he gave up on it !!!
Disconnect the battery for a day when you don't need the car! This will help restore the ecu to default if you don't know how to do it via the OBC...
