I'm in London right now on vacation and i'm looking around at all the E36's with elipsoid headlights stock. The difference is that these ones have the lense inside the lowbeam smoked. Will these lights straight out of a german or british E36, plug into my E36 ( i smashed my Umnitza one's in an accident a couple of months back)
if u still have the wireing harness.. then there should not be a problem.. i know when i bought mine.. they came from germany.. so i don't think they are any different! u also have to understand, that our e36 were made and shipped from germany.. just on US specs..
i know this... Car's for different markets are made all over the world. Z3's in germany were made in the US during production. My Umnitza lights were plug and play, the connectors from my wiring harness just came off the old bulbs, and went onto connectors on the umnitza headlights. Hmmm. I wish i could get a look at the rear of some of these euro lights. Next question, anyone know how to pop a bmw hood from the outside so i can take a peek at the one down the street....
Not possible without damaging the hood. Why don't you just leave a note on the car, explain what you're trying to do, and leave your contact info? I'm sure the owner will get a kick out of it and oblige.
