real electric supercharger?

Is there such thing as a real electric supercharger? There are alot of ebay ones which sell for $30+ and I looked at some of the seller's feedbacks and it looked like most people were satisfied about what they bought. I also googled Electric Supercharger and found this supercharger selling for $199. How would I know which one works and which one doesn't?

Thanks

Thumbs down

That just seems absolutely ridiculous. I just cannot imagine that thing producing any kind of gain. If you think about it, the air never really gets pressurized like it would from a turbo or supercharger. Without actually producing boost, I just do not see how it could work. And $200.00 for a fan? Really?

None of them work.

If you want to modify your engine with a "electric supercharger", you're better off strapping a leaf blower to the intake -- and sadly that is not even a joke.
