I found a black 1993 325i VIN-WBACB3312PFE12764 if anyone wouldnt mind checkin for me, and I was wondering if there are any known problems with this model or year? I also found a 1995 325i with"56000" miles on it, carfax says so too, but the title says not actual miles. I believe its not 56000 because the steering wheel on top is sorda torn, the carpet on under the mat has a small tear, and there are a few dings, scratches, and the clearcoat is comming off the bumper a little. Is there a way for someone to mess with the mileage so that it gets screwed up?I drove the 1995 and was quite impressed with the power, will the 1993 be the same...powerwise if they are both stock and stick? Thanks guys, your help will be much appreciated.

if there was a eninge change out or ECU change out at some point that could make the info wrong. other than that milage is a bit harder to fudge on a bmw with the computer keeping track.

Get the '95. '92-'93 models have weaker rear sub-frames. '94 and after BMW realized there was a problem with rear sub-frame failures and had plates welded in to make it stronger.

For all 325's the most important thing you should check is any oil leaking under the car. Pick a dry day to look at the car and just peak under the car. If it looks soaked in oil, walk away. It's a very common problem on older 325's.

What is that tends to leak on these?
Is it the rear main seal? (dunno if that is even correct terminology here, my background has been domestics)

Anyone else? I drove a 92 325i stick and it had no power as compared to the 95. I was wondering if that is because of not having the vanos that they added in 93. Will a 93 have about the same power that a 95 does?? Thakns again guys.

most of the time it is the power steering hoses that leak. Another is the valve cover. The 95 has more nuts because of the vanos. It is really hard to mess with the milage on the car. It is stored in the cluster and the light control module, if there is any difference then it sets the manipulation dot(a red dot by the milage). I would go with the 95.
