radio question - BMW Forum

i just bought a 1995 318i and i installed a cd player in it and it works and everything but the sound is not coming out...some people told me that i need a special cable that costs around 80$ but i wanted to ask someone who has a bmw before i buy the cable...so what do you guys think the problem is?

What kind of cd player did you install?

If it is an aftermarket one, I do believe that you have to re-wire the car or have a wiring harness/adapter that will connect to the existing wires. Post what brand/model you have and perhaps some one can help you figure out exactly what you will need to do.

it was a pioneer i had a harness for it and everything and i installed and it worked i could put the cd in and it would say that it was playing but the sound wasnt coming out but the speakers were connected and everything so i dont know whats the problem

Why not get it installed by the BestBuy? Ask da_bull he should have an answer
