| Just take the car to a dealer. They will give it to you free of charge. They look up the VIN.
If the radio was ever changed then you will need to get the serial number off the back of the radio. Not a huge ordeal. Write it down and bring that to the dealer. If you allow the dealer to remove the radio they will charge you for it unless the daughter is all girly about it and plays the part.
