Radio Antenna Connections

Hi folks.

I just got an aftermarket head unit for my '97 E36 318i. The Car is a Jap import so only had a C33 and CD stack in the boot.

Anyway, my new unit plays CDs perfectly but the radio reception is ***CRAP***!The stock unit has TWO co-ax cables, a large one and a small one. The large one is connected, via an adapter, to the normal antenna socket on the new HU. What the hell do I do with the small one? As in what do I connect it to. And yes, I expect to be using a soldering iron?

Your help would be MUVH appreciated.
