I would suggest you calm down if you want to be able to continue posting here!

What experience do you have that makes you the "Great Master Mechanic" who knows more about these engines than anyone else? Do you have decades of experience tuning these engines, or are you so young that you can't spell swear words correctly?

If I were you, I would stop drinking Red Bull like its tap water! Also, get off those cheap Horse Steroids you buy from that shady Intern behind the Vet Clinic! Man, do they make you Bitchy... :nana

its rediculous for people to talk about this debaffle bullshit, it doesnt do anything, jsut dont smoke your fukn cigarettes for a week and buy a cone filter, its a hell of alot better, and yes i actually do have background mechanical experience(not with beemers in general but overall i know way more than the average poster)

Firstly, it is Bimmers not Beemers (for cars).

Secondly, chil the fuck out. People enjoy doing their own DIY. Also, I have read studies about Cone filters on BMW engines and how there are small amount of particulate that does enter the engine. I don't want more shit in my engine.

Finally, does it bother you that much? If so, then go to your local wal-mart.

buy shotgun
go home
place shotgun against wall.
place barrel in mouth
good bye world
pull trigger.

first: a neon filter with chrome painted plastic off of ebay is MUCH more "ricer" then a unseen debafled airbox
second: you might be looking at negative 3-5 HP, seeing as you are sucking up all that nice hot air three inches from your engine (cone), as apposed to three feet (factory airbox)

also note that while you seem horrified at debafeling a airbox, all the self respecting individuals that have invested in the purchase of an "ultimate driving machine" would be horrified that you bough JDM crap off ebay instead of a $300+ Dinan or similar intake.

calm down
