quick offsets question

my offsets are et42mm will that bode well with staggered contours that are 17x8 and 17x9?

tires are 235 40 17 all around

that should fit. If it doesn't just roll your rear fenders. Is your vehicle lowered at all? What's with the huge rear wheel, but skinny rear tires? Why would you want staggered?

Should work. 35mm - 45mm is the range for E36s.

my vehicle isnt lowered, the suspension is fully stock, some guy is selling a set of contours local here for cheap so i want to grab em, and i also dont want to get new tires because i have fairly new sumitomos on my car right now, but if i had a choice, i would get 7.5 contours.

They're probably 17x7.5 and 17x8.5, which are factory sizes.

He probably tooka ruler and measured it to get the width. This way of measuring gives an extra .5 inch.
