Quick need help!

My car all of a sudden today is running great. no tranny light not shifting weird... so if it was a mechanical problem in the gearbox it would do it everytime right? So we read in our owners manual about an electronic transmission module that regulates pressure and voltage I believe?

Anyways, I have an idea as to where it is (passengers side behind firewall) but don't know how to get to it...

also does anyone know how expensive these things are and if there is anything I should look for?

thanks! Need to get this tested asap before I spend 2500 for nothing...

Wasn't there a common problem with carwashes and the drainage ducts not being able to handle the capacity, and water crept into the ECU? Could it be located near there?
