Hey everyone.. new to forum.. just bought a '98 328is... and am starting to do some mods and don't want to screw anything up. I just got clear side markers and was wondering how they can be taken off, do i just unclip them or is there another way.

Thanks

Great car, got any pics?

As for the side marker the following should work...

Unscrew the single mounting screw with a #1 or #2 phillips head (the one in your trunk mounted tool kit will work fine).

Gently pry from the back (end closest to your door handle). There is a retainer clip on the other end (closest to the front tire).

Once loosened, just pull the assembly out and replace.

Reinstall in reverse.

(There is a very slight chance the retainer clip is on the other end, it's been a while since I did this)

I think the 98s have a different style which doesn't incorporate the screw. Push forward on it from behind and it should pop out.

Yeah, I accidentally bought sidemarkers for a 97' and they are a totally different setup than the 96' sidemarkers. I just have to unscrew a screw and slide it out, har har =)
