can you guys go outside and look at them for me? tell me if the drivers side one is slightly longer (more longer in the base) than the passenger side? does it look ever so slightly different?

from that angle i cant really tell mark, ill check out my dads m3 2 moro maybe even measure it, and let u know
I walked outside in the garage and did a quick measurement for you(of an actual M3 stock, not a mirror replacement on a 325 or something). Yes the drivers side is longer than the passengers side by like 1/4-1/2 inch. Not much, but noticable if you look at them. My guess is that they do this because of angles and such for best visability because the mirrors are smaller. Who knows.
It would make sense. My roomate drives a Mercedes E320, and his mirrors are completely different. The passenger's side is much shorter than the driver's side. I guess it's a German thing. Could be best viewing, parking, or just to screw with American drivers!?
