Question about the Windows ?????

It's been getting cold around here after work and early in the mornings when I get in my car start it up and turn on the heater usually I take off after the car has a few minutes to warm up and head to where im going. Of course when my heater is on the windows are all the way up. My passenger Window is bumping or its doing what I like to call window chatter. Yall know how when you open and shut the door the window goes down a little and then back up for a complate seal ? Well it is making a sudden jerk up and down up and down or its bumping lets say. When doing so the dome light by the mirror flashes on and off when it does this. Now this has only happened once and thats when it was 34 degrees outside...... Whats with this and is it bad ????????
Thanks David

If this has only occurred once it is possible that the door wasn't fully closed.
If this was the case the door may have been making and breaking contact with the sensor in the door striker (#6 in the image below) as you rode over bumps, thus causing the window to chatter.

It is also possible that the door striker may need to be replaced due to damage.
If you take a good look at the door striker you will notice there is a push button (the sensor) located behind the cylinder portion. When the door makes contact with this push button the window is rolled up completing the seal.
When my window started doing this it turned out that the plastic push button was worn down preventing the door from making proper contact with the sensor. The part was $50 canadian from the dealership.
