Question about my Bmw suspension - BMW Forum

My 318i needs news stock springs because the steering wheels shakes when ever i go 45+ could there be anything else that could cause this? Is there any good sites where i could buy springs for my 318i and i wasn't sure about this but can all E36 or most E36 parts work for my 1992 318i sedan?

The front and back wheels have a sight tilt at the top inward i mean the whole wheel is tilted its just they go inward at the top and outward at the bottom. I just dont know a easy way to say it.

I had a similar problem with the front end on my '94. U should have the lower control arm bushings and ball joints looked at as that is most likely the problem and not the springs or shocks. These bushing do wear out. Most BMW's have a noticeable negative camber. After the front end is fixed you should have the alignment checked and set to factory specs.

Yeah that sounds like a good idea have to look at too, I've taken it to a shop and you could move the springs while they were on the car ( just the front springs though) But I will check out what you mentioned.

Good luck. Here is a source that might help you in case you have not seen yet. RealOEM.com Online BMW Parts Catalog No the page click on "click Here" . Then put the last 7 digits of VIN, like AB0000, in the Serial number box and click search. This will bring up your car. Click on "Browse Parts" at bottom. Look around and it will get you nice pics of all the parts along with part numbers some avg costs. Nice for just seeing how things go together.

If your able to move your springs then check your spring perch. May need replacement. Not common, but possible.
