Question About M3 Swap In 325is

we did a e36 m3 swap into an e36 325is and the big bushing like thing with the 6 bolts that bolts the drive shaft to the tranny is different. the one from the 325is tranny is a lot smaller than the one on the m3 tranny. now when we put the setup in the holes dont line up. need help asap. thanx

You need an M3 driveshaft and differential to complete it.

Or, just find a place that can make you a custom driveshaft.

I've also hear a rumor that you can get 4 of the 6 holes to line up correctly, but i doubt it.

oh man u are sure about that. i definately have to change both. i dont wanna have to change the diff and all that. and im pretty sure u cant get the holes to line up

That thing is called the guibo, BTW.

bavauto.com (may be a crappy if you get from them, I've had LCA bushings from them crack up and is practically useless now, it's been 6 months since I had them put in and I can SEE LIGHT THROUGH THEM)

If your've got an M3 engine in it, odds are you'll want an LSD afterwards (unless you already have one, rare for the regular ol 3 series to have them), so go ahead and get one (diffsonline)

Just buy a new one I think they're like 30 bucks.

well thanx for the info but i dont need the bushing piece. i was asking about the swap. do i need the m3 drive shaft and diff for sure to do it. the 325is drive shaft and the m3 tranny doesnt line up. i am getting the drive shaft and diff though from the car i got the motor from. i just wanted to know if i have to do all that work now.

another question, does the diff come out without removing the whole rear end assembly?
