For some reason, my car will beep 3 times loudly for no apparent reason. It happens both when I'm driving, or if I'm just sitting there idle with the engine off...

Beep beep beep! And me and my lady are like errr,

Does anyone know what this could be?

Also, my foglights still work, but the green indicator on my instrument panel no longer shows up, how could this be fixed?

Thanks to you guys in advance!

I don't knoiw what it is, but I get it too.
I am tired of trying to figure out what it is . I thought it was the speed threshold alert, but I then realized it is a different sound. Anyone out there, please help us realize what is going on.

umm yeah the beeping, I have no idea. Some sort of warning about tempature outside or something? The instrument bulb needs to be replaced in your cluster. Pull it out and get a new bulb for it.

The temperature alert is not a beep, beep, beep. It is more of a one "ding" kind of sound. PLus it shows up in the trip computer. This really bothers me -- especially when people ask me what it is, and I have to say that I don't know.

I had this same problem, and I found out that it dings 3x every time an hour starts. For example, 3:00, 4:00 5:00, etc. and so on.

I don't know about it doing it for just one ding.

That is exactly the problem for these guys. On my old 318 my backlight for the obc was burnt out. One day fiddling with all the buttons I set a memo and didnt even realize it because I couldnt see it. I thought it was an engine warning beep or something and actually took it to the dealer (I was due for a tune-up anyway). The service advisor had a good chuckle when I told him my engine servicing beep was activated. Anywho they did my tune-up and replaced the light and turned off the memo function- No more beeping. It is an EASY DIY- press the button lable "MEMO"

I suspect you are having,

either corroded ground spots,
or wires that keept scrubing with someting and have lost their insulation, this problaly happened to your horn, the wire got gounded and so once a while road impertions and movement causes the wire to touch..

is something very unlikely, but take a look, sometimes it can be stupid things like this..
see if you find wier wiring under tha carpert and dash,,, weird i mean damaged in any wya,
