Are all 4 cyclinders noisy engines compared to 6's? I have a 93 318is, and the engine sounds so noisy... also, when i have driven the car and the engine is hot, i pull up and park the car and leave it to idle and the exhaustsound is a put put put put note , not a smooth exhaust note when idling...is this normal for 4 cyclinders with stock exhaust system?

mine bitches a little when I go to work in the morning but stops within a few blocks b/c I'm ALWAYS not on time and can't sit and let it warm up.... I think the answer to your question was a no, sorry rambling... I havn't had my first cup of coffee!

umm yeah they are kind of noiser they just arent as deep so you hear it more, as more the exhuast mine is just loud in general?
