Unhappy Prop Shaft Coupling

My 318is has failed its warrant on the prop shaft coupling. They say its split...is this an easy job to repair or should it be done at the garage?

I've never had to deal with this but have you checked the Bentley?

I found the following link, it may help but it's for an e30 318is.

http://www.esatclear.ie/~bpurcell/31...html#propshaft

you can use this link to find the part. just enter your car's info.

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do

hope this helps.
