Problems starting

Hey everyone, I just purchased a 1995 325i with 87000 miles and in great shape. unfortunately, i have recently had problems starting the car on the first try. it takes around 3 tries to finally turn the engine over. does anyone have any idea what this problem could be and any ways to troubleshoot this myself? Thanks.

1995 87,000 is low. im guessing the car needs a tuneup (could be time for a inspection 2).

too many things could cause your hard start to list. my advice is get a tuneup and your car will be in decent shape.

I think its a good idea that your car to be serviced by a professional mechanic.

I agree with Furious for a tune up. May be a starter. May be a alternator. May be spark plugs. Does it ever just make a clicking sound when you are trying to start it up? Is the battery old?

I'm curious what do yall refer to as a tune up ?
I mean I know a tune up is tune up but in some things I have seen some things on here refered to as something different.

I look at it as plugs , Filters , fluids and etc
just curious
