This seems to be a popular problem recently..Check the Mass Air Flow meter, check for vaccum leaks, O2 sensor....Look down the board as well and you'll see similar problems being discussed..
My car actually "revs" up on start up to (more than a normal start should). With mine im certain it's an O2 sensor starting to go. My MPG is down as well..

mass air flow sensor, besides your air intake under the hood, close to where you change your air filter.
02 sensor, I't under the car, right before your catalyst converters
MPG = Miles Per Galon

Sorry I cannot be of help but there is something you need to know about the forum: when you type in all-caps, you are SCREAMING AT US!!! You are new, so that's ok, but it can really get annoying. I hope you get your car fixed. I have repairs pending on my BMW as well. Good luck.

thank u guys so much.ok where can i get a new 02 sensor
You can get it from www.bavauto.com. Of course you can always get one at the stealership. Bavauto has just about anything you could need for your car. If you are uncertain, you can always give them a call and talk to someone who knows. Don't rush to get an O2 sensor. If one is failing, very likely the 'check engine' light would illuminate. Also, just a few days ago we were having a discussion about how many O2 sensors an E36 has -- I don't know that we settled it, but it is anywhere from 1 to 4 sensors. There is a lot of info on this forum -- run a search or use Google (which very likely direct you to a board on this site). Good luck.

BimmerWorld.com has the cheapest OEM O2 Sensor. My car is a 93 (has only one O2 sensor) and has 130K. My gas consumption is really high (just over 18 miles per gallon) so I know it's good preventative maint. anyway.
An O2 sensor will show signs it is going before the check engine light comes on. Poor performnace (the hesitation, stuttering), eratic idle, strong smelling exhaust.. If you have a pre 1996 E36 with higher miles then I think it's worth a shot at replacing the O2 sensor.
I had the exact same problem as you last week. All I need to do was a spark plug change (all 6) and an oil change. It runs great now! Go with NGK plugs!!!!

Mods: M50 engine, Jim C chip, light-weight flywheel, dual cat-back custom exhaust, 3:15 lsd, euro headlights w/angel eyes, 5300K HID, smoked corner lights, FK Motorsports foglights (crystal clear), ABS plastic upper eyebrow, clear side markers, M3 powered side mirrors w/LED, blacked out grill, M3 lighted shift knob, 17" ROH Furry wheels w/Kumho tires, Brembo cross drilled rotors and Hawk performance brake pads all around, PSS9 Bilstein and H&R coil over kit, front strut bar and Alpine alarm.
Ive gotten the CHECK ENGINE red light few days ago the whole time I was driving that one night. But the following days never saw the light again... you thinK I should still change my o2 sensors? Also my MPG is really low like 15 mpg sometimes 14 mpg but I think thats normal since I rev alot and exceed 3,000 rpm even on street roads.
