I would run your tank until the gas light comes on and then fill it up with 92oct. You should be fine. What kinda chip did you get? I just installed a JC chip a few weeks ago and love it!

Please forgive my ignorance but how would fuel octance content cause problems with a chip? Are the aftermarket chips made only for certain octanes?

Yes. they remap the fuel and timing curves. Most need 91 octane or better.

damn, tomctx beat me to it. It is most likely not *needed* but in order for you to get the full potential out of the chip then you do need the correct octane so that your car won't retard the timing back to what it was stock.. which it hopefully will do if you continue to and has done while you were, use/using lower octane gas.
