I've seen pictures of a couple of cars ('96 & '97) that claim "premium sound" yet lack the "HK" Harmon Kardon badge on their front door speakers. Is it possible that they do indeed have the premium sound package, or are they more likely just trying to take advantage via a game of word play (e.g.: "Uhh, I never said it had the premium sound package. IMO, any BMW's sound is 'premium', so I listed it that way.")? Is the "HK" badge always present?

from what I've seen, yes ;o\ Although maybe the "Badge" wore off over time? Mine have the badge but the one on the drivers side door is slightly fading. Just a suggestion
I've taken my door panels off... and looked at my speakers... I dont have badges... but on the window placard they put in the cars at the dealership... it says premium sound package.... and I am possitive I've never had a badge yet I know I have HK speakers.
