First of all, i'm sold. I fell in love with this car. I never unterstood the whole "over-engineered" thing until now! checked the production date and sure enough ... 2/92. My question is this ... what are the differences between the post 2/92 and the earlier ones? i know a lot of it is suspension related having to do with where the sways were mounted (??) Just wondering how all its different, or even if you someone could point me to some info where i could read up on it, that'd be great. Thanks guys!

Up to 5/92 has a different size upper housing for the front struts.

Also cars produced in europe before 10/91 had tab mounted sway bars. It's a much more efficient design and they got rid of it for the less harsh ride. It later returned on the M3 because it's a much better design.

Check the "FAQ" section. I have a write up on it about sway bars.
