power steering fluid
ok this weekend i've decided to take on the task of changing the steering rack. so just doing my pre-research.
i know i need to somehow 'suck' out the power steering fluid (atf) from the reservour, and then disconnect the hoses from the steering rack to get the rest out. when the new steering rack is in, fill in the reservour and connect all the hoses back up. then fill the reservour with the fluid, turn the car on, turn the wheel a few times, check the level again and keep adding fluid until the level of the reservour remains.
is this correct?
and for power steering fluid (according to the bentley) use Dexron III ATF.
oh and should i be replacing the tie-rod ends, inner or outer or both?
