power loss!

I am starting to notice an intermittent problem. When going around a corner both left and right, upon exiting out of it and getting back on the gas, my car seems to lose power briefly. not like electrical power, but I hit the gas and nothing, no revs, no speed. I'm thinking it is possibly the fuel pump. 180,000 miles and don't think it's been replaced. do I have an in tank fuel pump/ has anyone ever replaced it themselves? thanks

Fuel pump will not necessarily give you trouble only on the courners. Don't you think?

Does it start bogging out or does it just do nothing at all??

Are you tracking (or similarly driving) your car when this happens? Does it only happen with a low tank of gas?

just spirited driving on the street. Actually I had about 3/4 of a tank. I think I'm gonna just use some fuel cleaner and change the fuel filter again and see if that helps. I'll just wait and see if this problem happens again.

that's a good thought. I've actually noticed my car having rougher and a more bouncy idle over the past few weeks. So that's a good possibility. I'm gonna clean my Icv this weekend. thanks
