Power from cigarette lighter - BMW Forum

Hi... I was wondering if there is a way to cut the power from the cigarette lighter with your ignition... I just got a FM transmitter for my IPod and its annoying to have to remove the transmitter from the lighter everytime I turn my car off... I would like to make it like most other cars where the power cuts offs as soon as you turn the car off...

Just tap a wire in to to a power source that goes on and off with your ignition, should be a spot in your fuse panel for that. and run that to your ciggie lighter. The one on there now is just a 12v constant off the battery.
