Please Help Air Conditioning not working.

Hello again everyone. Thanks for all your previous advice once again.
I just came back from holidays (1 month) and all of the sudden my air
conditioning is not cold anymore. It was working perfectly before I left.
When I do push the A/C button, the engine speeds up a little bit and the
A/C fan in the front of the car turns on, but the air coming from the vents
is not cold. If anyone could help me please with any advice. My car is
a 1993 BMW 320i.

hi Sharon , im surprised as a fellow canuck you need the AC :lol: ,,just kidding, as for your problem i think maybe you need a freon refill. it sounds like the compressor and auxilury fan might be working.

also, i know from when i was shopping for a BMW, according to info at autos.msn.com that the '93 uses an old refridgerent that isn't made anymore, which means you gotta replace it with the old stuff and that can be expensice, i heard $50 a pound, 2-3 pounds needed, or get the system upgraded. that was one of the reasons i went with a '95
