Plastic Vents under front bumper issue

I recently put in my new fog lights (I'll post pics soon) and when I was putting the bumper back on, these 2 plastic POS vents would not stay in... they kept falling out and driving me insane while I was putting the bumper back on...what the hell are these and what do they do? I'm assuming they bring airflow into the engine but I'm not sure of that... I got so pissed off that I took them out and left them out... there seemed to be a sensor plugged into one of them which I also unplugged... are these important and should I put them back in?

without a pic I can't be sure what you are talking about, but Id be willing to bet its the brake duct. They supposedly channel air to the rotors to cool them. If you want to toss them consider it a weight reduction upgrade and be done. I highly doubt you will see any negative affects.

hmm cud he be talking about the vent part cover thingys right nxt o the fogs that have those cheesy wire holding them when u unhook em?

you are talking about the brake ducts, which are supposed to cool the rotors. I havn't had mine for a while and i see no adverse effects. the thing that plugs into the driver's side one is your temp sensor for the obc. just mount it somewhere else away from the engine for accurate readings.
