Plans for fixing up my 94 325is - BMW Forum

So I just bought this car, has a couple kinks to work out, but after that I have a few plans, and I'd like to hear your thoughts and opinions.
First, it's automatic, and I'd like to convert it to manual. I've had a little experience doing this with Hondas, but I'm totally new to BMWs. Is this gonna be a ridiculous amount of work?
Second, my car has no VVT, so I was thinking about doing a head swap? Idk if this is even possible, and if I should just consider a full engine swap..
Third, and possibly the most exciting, I'm a pretty big computer geek and I wanna replace my in-dash computer, climate controls, and radio with a touch screen and have shit like fuel map tuning, etc. The programming I can do, but getting everything wired up is where I would have issues..
Thoughts?

Everything you have mentioned is very doable, not sure about the VVT..but if you are gonna do a trans swap, the best way to do this, is to do with the engine.....
