Hi, I think i have a bit of a problem with my car
It's an E36 320i automatic
Lately it has been burning about three litres of petrol for a 2 mile journey.
I know i have to replace the Idle Valve, but don't think that will cause this anyway.
If there is a leak where could it be.
hmm , throw a piece of cardboard under the car at night and see if you get a trace on a leak. tell me more about the idle valve problem..maybe its that (chances are it is)

Well, the idel valve problem causes fuel injection to go up and down all the time. I especially notice that when i'm going at constant speed on the motorway. I can also see the MPG indocatos going up and down. You think it's that?
By the way the cardboard thing i've tried alredy and there's nothing.
Where is the idle valve...is there a DIY link anywhere to set it?
