| Performance panel filters Hey.. on a roll here.. thought i'd get some opinions...
I used to have a pod filter on the intake.. then swapped it for a pipe/pod filter behind the front bumper.
Was great for top end, but lost bottom end power.
Obviously.. the pod filter in the engine bay was useless on hot days from all the hot air (30 degrees celcius), but good on cold days.
I had a triflo muffler fitted which seemed to increase power across the rev range.. so removed the pod filter and put the old airbox in.
Just fitted a K&N panel filter.. dont really notice any change.. except on fuel economy.
Do they increase power.. or is just a fuel economy thing on the BM's?
Reason I ask.. my last car was a honda integra vti-r.. where the pod filter made a nice difference.
