performance Dinan Chip - BMW Forum

So im debating whether or not i should get a performance chip from Dinan
for my BMW 318i

The chip will give me:
10 horsepower
19 ft lbs of torque
top speed governer

All for the price of $199.00, DO you guys think its WORTH the money for that little horsepower. Taking note that i plan on keeping this car for a long time because of its great condition and the only complaint about it is that its not THAT fast, i know it wont be GREAT speed, but just enough so i can pick up speed quick when i want it to...

Do it! You'll be thankfull you did. You'll have to use 91 octane i think, but you'll love having the chip in there!

thesee are the stats...

The Bmw 318i has:
produced 85 kW (114 hp) and 168 N·m (124 ft·lbf)

So that would make it 124 with 133 ft.lbf or torque

Whywould i get the confronti one when it would give me the same horsepower and ft'lb of torque but will cost me $175 more than the dinan one?
$375 v.s $199 big difference!!

Conforti is greater than Dinan in my mind. Plus I actually didnt look up the gains for your car, on my 325i the conforti made more power.

I got my Dinan for my old 525i from ebay used for $60.00 bux.

I got a chip from ebay...39.99, and it's been fantastic. Good performance gains, and it seems to be doing the job just fine. The numbers for the hp/trq gains for the ship I got a stated to be the same as Dinan.
