Performance Chips!

Does anyone have any chips for a 94 318is...

wanted to see if any one has a 318iS chipped, and wants to know if it makes a difference...

Does anyone reccomend any brands for the 318iS ?

I heard of Conforti, Motronix, Dinan ??




Last question for all of u out there....
What kind of intake would make a difference?
does it really matter wether its a Dinan, or Cosmos, or AA etc... ???

please let me know, i want to order a chip and intake within the next day or so!

Conforti chip has the most gains. Im not sure which intake has the most gains though. However, whitout other mods you wont notice much form a chip. they wrok best in conjections with intake and exhaust mods.

I can get a couple of differnet chips for my 318i (8v) but is the ecu number for the states going to be different then uk.....

my ecu number is 0 261 203 277

they specifie 0 261 200 282 and 357....

whats the difference in the numbers mean?????

ME-TAZ, the ECU number differnce deals with slight variations in the engine, but in your case the single cam makes the biggest difference. NA only got 16V 1.8s. I would look into companies over there to ensure a propper chip.

Mark, Ive been considering a CAI and chip myself, do you have a dyno sheet with the gains from his chip? The price looks great and if it is a conforti clone powr wise, then I'll probably get one in the next week or so.
