Performance Chip

hello all,

I've just been reading a little about performance chips and I know there are plenty to choose from for the 6 cyl BMW's, but what about the 1.9L 4 cyl? I can't seem to find one, or maybe I'm not looking hard enough. Any advice? My engine has 106,000 miles on it, but runs superb. I already have a really good CAI, that's about like the Dinan CAI. Any suggestions on where to get one and if I should get one? Thanks

i see chips on ebay all the time for the 318. However i hear from everyone that they dont really do anything butmess with your fuel ratio etc. My friend bought one from ebay that said dinan on it for his e30 bmw 318is and says he can feel ahuge difference... dont know if its fact or fiction... www.turnermotorsport.com has chips but i dont know if they have them for the 318

oh yeah duh i didnt even catch that you said 1.9! i just assumed 318 and assumend obd1 sorry dude

For the OBD1 there are just as many chips for the 318 as there are for the 6 cyl models. TMS, Dinan, Raven, EAT, Garret, Bav Auto, BMPD, Superchips, Autothority, etc.

For OBD2, there should be a software programming device like the shark injector. Check Turnermotorsports website.
