I was wondering if '97 grills like those found on bavarian autosport will fit in my '92 318

short post, but i dont wanna waste $44 !

well the e36 goes from 92-99 and ive heard taht the 97 grilles are different

92-96 grilles are different than the grilles from the 97-98.. not sure if they will fit though

Nope, OBD II had new grills in '96. Your grilles indicate a post '96. Pre-'96 are narrower.

the difference is in the newer cars the "fins" are larger and the crome border is fatter than in the older one. plus in the newer one the crome and the overall shape is different. they get wider towards the top. please correct me if i am wrong but that is what i see.
