Parking Light

I was looking at some parking like bulbs that were silver coated. The websites listed the part siz as either 1156 or 1157 (can't remember which was for parking/tail lights). I was down at autozone yesturday and they had silverstar bulbs. I had them look up what size I needed for my parking light, and they came up with a 7506.


What size do we need? Is a 7506 the same size as a 1157 or 1156?

Don't know what kind of car you drive, but the 1157 works as a parking bulb in my 325is. (e36)

thanks for the reply. I was pretty certain the 1157 would work but got confused by the autozone guy's computer. I have a 97 328is which should be the same size bulb.

1157, and I have those sylverstar ones on mine i love them

I love my silverstar headlights and assumed the parking lights would be just as good.


So the 1157 fit the front and 1156 fit the rear, correct?

Either will work..I went to Bavauto.com and got the sizes and went to autozone to get the bulbs. I picked up a package of 1157 and went to pay. I had the old bulb and asked the guy if this was the same as the ones im buying and he said it wasn't. He punched up on the computer and came up with 7506 "European" bulb. I bought the 7506's and they work like a charm and other people atest that 1157's work, so for whatever reason they both work..
