I think its for OBDII only vechiles. When I used to work for a mechanic we had the OBDI reader too... so its out there... .but it was run off a full size PC so you couldn't take err for a spin so to speak.
As for your POS Palm. I read the requirements for the software (Palm 2.0) which is definately old school. You should check it out, then report back to let us know if its worth going out and buying old Palm Pilots
