painting carbon fiber hoods

thinking of getting my whole car painted once i get a body kit and i was thinking that i could do some weight reduction by getting a carbon fiber hood and trunk i would paint it though. is it possible to paint it is my question. and would you do it. also how do u think a ac snitzter carbon fiber spoiler and carbon fiber dtm splitter for the bumper. i would not paint those to things and the car would be black. any opininos would be appreciated

I say keep the splitter cf... maybe even the spoiler too!

I like cf accents, but as for the hood/trunk, i'd paint them (yes you can)... I think large body pieces in cf look kinda weird.

hey I don't know much about carbon fiber but something to think about... does it flex much? that may cause problems with the paint cracking.

paint cracks can be prevented with a flex agent that prevents that... meant for use on plastics and such.

Yes you can paint them. Mi amigo painted the outer 2/3rds of his cf hood. All black. The Cf is hella dark too sumhow and u cant even tell its cf until u get really close to it.
