I'm getting my car painted a deep blue tuesday and I was wondering if I should have the auto body place paint the black trim around the car also? Any input? One of my friends told me it would look bad and chip.. maybe he's just jealous tho :P Thanks

Do you mean just the side skirts? Or the whole thing? I would recommend painting the side skirts, but i agree with your friend about the rest.

Uh, nevermind. forget what I said earlier. I think it would look great. Mine are all painted and I have had no problems with chipping yet. (I just got it about a month ago and couldn't remember if the whole thing was painted or not; until i saw a picture of it).

I kinda like the black side moldings black. With everything painted I think the car looks too bland and the black is just enough to set everything off. Kinda like a good pin stripe.

I'm sorry, but I'm confused. You said "good" and "pinstripe" in close proximity to one another. Please elaborate.

Yeah yeah, I know it's hard to believe but sometimes I think just the same color over the whole car gets boring. I hate some of the two tones on cars, but I hate the same plain color even more. There hasn't really been very many cars I like it on, but for some reason the one on my car just goes with the green.
