Paint

I am in the market for an e36 325is right now, and i have noticed that all of them come with the lower lip in black, no matter what color. It makes the car look very old and cheap. Was just wondering how much it would cost me to get nice paint on the lip (same as body) or would the colors be a little off? should the whole car just get repainted?

never painted a car, trying to get an idea on pricing 8-)

A good quality repaint will run you $2500+...or, there's alway MAACO- NOT!

and how about for the bottom lip around the car painted the same color as the car

I know someone who does this work and he tells me that most guys who are good won't pick up a sprayer for less than $400.00 no matter what the size of the job...he did me a favor once awhile back painting a mirror on my wife's Volvo (free), but told me that it would run me $100 elsewhere. I don't doubt it. Good luck

I recently got my trunk lid and quarter panels painted because of an accident and the guy did a straight up HORRIBLE job (among other things: loose/incorrectly mounted bumper, hit a curb and scratched up the front of the car,) The paint doesn't have the mirror-like sharpness it does on the rest of the car. it's muddy, and they all but ruined the pinstripes. what do i do? how much will it cost to repaint through another person? why does the paint job look SO bad???????

had it redone for another $1000. found out he didn't finish pulling the frame in the back, it needed more touching up. can you say law suit?

the gray is on the 92-95 models. the bumpers will need to be repainted ($200-400) however the skirts have the body color underneath and the gray can be removed using castrol degreaser.
