Oxygen Sensor

I have a check engine light and my brother inlaw told me that i need new oxygen sensors is it two on the exhust? And how much am i looking to spend?

Buy a OBDII scan tool, it might be 02 sensors. but might not be a ton of different things can make the check engine light come on. Besides there are 4 O2 sensors in the car. 1 before the cat 1 after the cat in each pipe it might be O2 but would suck if you rerplace them and its not. besides you still need the scan tool to turn the light off.

well waht year is your car... if its obd-II then foloow Solo's post. keep in mind too that OBD-I cars have 2 O2 sensors, OBD-II have 4...

you can check the codes with out buying the scan tool by doing the pedal trick... and to reset the codes just unplug your battery for 10 min then plug it back on...

O2 sensors are $140 each at Turner motorsport. Is there a way to determine if they are bad?
