Overheating

help...my 93 325is is having overheating issues. Sometimes it overheats while other times is doesnt. I changed the themostat and the exact same thing happends, so i changed the water pump, seemed to fix it but then i have no heat out of the driver side vents but the passenger side is fine. Then 3 days later it started to overheat again and i lost all heat in all the vents. Any ideas, its driving me insane!!! Oh and i replaced the rad and removed the fan and replaced it with an electric fan, they both work fine.

is the system bled properly?

Mine did the same thing blowing out cold air and I think it was the thermostat.

This could be the problem though since you already changed the thermostat. Not sure. Just be careful not to overheat the engine cause it really sucks to have to replace the headgasket!!!!!

I was having the same problem with my car. It was the fan clutch for me...once replaced, it was fine.
