First, I just want to say that I did the search but I can't seem to get the answer I'm looking for. ghead

So yeah, when I first got my car, the outside temp always said -35C

Then, I took the car to my mechanic to fix a problem I had with the car surging

and cutting off. So he changed the cam position sensor, and a coil that was

missing, and when I got the car back, now the temp is reading -37C.

I read through the threads that covered this, and I can't figure if the outside

temp supposed to read -35C, or the actual temp from outside.

Any help to clear things up would be appreciated, thanks.

Yup... its the default temperature.. when your OAT (Outside Air Temperature) Sensor no longer sends your OBC a signal.. it is defaulted to -35 or 37...

Get a new sensor..

As far as I know all it is necessary for is the cockpit display. You should be ok without replacing it.
